The extra preseason game comes as former linebacker Ray Lewis will be enshrined in the Pro Football Hall of Fame on Saturday, August 4. On the Chicago Bears side, former linebacker Brian Urlacher awaits his enshrinement.The Ravens' preseason gets underway Thursday as they head to Canton, Ohio to play in the annual Hall of Fame Game vs. the Chicago Bears.
Thursday's matchup will mark the first Hall of Fame Game appearance for the Ravens, while this will be the fifth time the Bears have played in the preseason classic dating all the way back to 1968. Chicago has gone 4-0 against the Dolphins ('05), Browns ('90), Jets ('77) and Cowboys ('68).
The first preseason matchup of the season should create a lot of buzz considering it will be the first time we get to see Lamar Jackson in action as a Raven. Both clubs were allowed to start their training camps a week earlier than other NFL teams to begin getting acclimated to the grind of a longer camp.
